How Do We Verify if a Buyer is Genuine and Ready to Buy?

Our buyer outreach methodology is carefully designed to ensure that we connect you only with buyers who are both genuine and genuinely interested to meet and hopefully do a deal with you.

We focus on identifying buyers who are an authentic match for your products, have the capacity to purchase, and are ready to engage in discussions about potential deals.

Once you have subscribed to our service, we provide you with an initial list of potential buyers for your review. You can approve the list and exclude any companies you would prefer us not to contact.

We then initiate outreach to the selected buyers to verify their legitimacy, assess their interest, and confirm their readiness to buy.

Our verification process is structured in three key stages:

  1. Verifying the Buyer’s Operational Status and Capabilities
    • What is your company name and website?
    • Where is your company headquartered, and in which countries do you operate?
    • Can you briefly describe your company’s main activities and the product categories you handle?
    • How long have you been in the food import or distribution business?
    • Are you currently importing the product type we are offering? If yes, from which countries?
    • Could you provide a recent supplier reference or an example of an existing sourcing relationship?
    • What type of customers do you supply — wholesalers, retailers, foodservice, manufacturers?
    • Can you confirm your company registration number or business license? (optional but useful)
  1. Assessing Sincerity and Level of Interest
  • Have you sourced this product category in the past 12 months? If so, what volume do you typically purchase?
  • What specific product specifications or certifications do you require?
  • Are you actively seeking new suppliers for this product category right now?
  • What are your preferred payment terms when dealing with new suppliers?
  • What are the top qualities you look for when selecting new suppliers?
  • What is your typical decision-making process for approving a new supplier?
  • Have you identified any current supply issues or gaps that you need to address soon?
  1. Confirming Readiness to Proceed
  • Are you the person responsible for purchasing decisions, or is there another decision-maker involved?
  • If satisfied with the product and pricing, when would you expect to place your first order?
  • Do you have import licenses or approvals required to import this product into your country?
  • What quantities would you consider ordering initially?
  • Would you like us to arrange a direct introduction to the exporter for further discussions?

Optional Qualifying Questions

  • What logistics and delivery terms do you typically prefer (e.g., FOB, CIF, DDP)?
  • What challenges, if any, have you faced when sourcing this product type?
  • Are you open to private label products, or are you only interested in branded products?

This structured approach allows us to screen buyers thoroughly and ensure that any introductions we arrange are worthwhile, credible, and aligned with your business objectives.

For “Self-Managed Lists”, it is the seller’s responsibility to reach out to potential buyers on the provided lists. In this case, we do not offer any refunds or guarantees of success.

For the “Managed Introductions” service, where we provided targeted outreach to 100 potential buyers, if we are unable to find the required some or all of the  5 matched buyers within the initial 2 – 4 week timescale, then we will agree to provide another list of 100 potential buyers and repeat the same process in month 2.

If after this 2nd outreach, we do not reach the full target of 5 meetings, then we will refund 50% of the cost of the number of meetings not achieved. Example: Only 3 meetings successfully achieved, and 2 meetings not achieved, then we will refund you : £1,200 / 5 = £240 (cost of each meeting) x 2 missed meetings = £480 x 50% = £240

We only charge a one-time fee to the seller as show in our Prices page There are no other hidden fees or commissions. The service is 100% free for potential buyers whom we invite to meetings.

Yes. We allow you to specify target countries, buyer types (e.g. distributors, retailers, wholesalers), and sectors so we can focus our outreach accordingly.

We will ask you to complete a short product questionnaire and upload relevant product details such as brochures, pricing, and certifications. This helps us present your offering professionally to buyers.

We’ll introduce you via email, and it’s your responsibility to follow up, manage the relationship, and close the deal. However, we can provide email templates and advice if needed.

For the “Managed Introductions” service, outreach and buyer matching typically takes 2 to 4 weeks. Timelines may vary slightly depending on product complexity or market saturation.

The client should provide full contact and payment details as well as name of product, countries or continent to include. Allow buyer to add more than one product and recalculate the total owed accordingly. Client should also tick a check box to agree Terms and Conditions.
